This route consists in carrying out a descent to the beach, where the process of shellfishing from the extraction up to the commercialization, is explained. This is conditioned by the low tide, so it can’t be carried out every day. If it is carried out on a shellfishing day, we would be able to see the shellfish gatherers working in the mornings. The route can also be carried out in the afternoon (as long as the tide allows it) but we would not see the shellfish gatherers.
The itinerary would be the following one:
-Descent to the shellfishing bank (we provide the boots).
-Visit to the checkpoint.
-Visit to the seafaring quarter of San Tomé with an explanation of the popular seaside architecture.
The route has an approximate duration of 90 minutes.
It has to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
