The work of shellfish

Nowadays shellfish gathering activities are strictly regulated by the official organisations. To get the license that allows to work as a shellfish gatherer, the PERMEX, attending a course is needed.

Payment of Social Security contribution, as well as working a minimum number of days each month, is compulsory. The extraction period lasts the whole year, although there are close seasons for each species.
